Plezmo, a Tech-Ed startup prepares kids for the jobs of the future by teaching 21st Century Technology skills like Coding, Computational Thinking, Design Thinking and Problem Solving! The following slides show the User Interface and the User Experience of a set of web-apps which use block coding to teach basic animation, mathematics, creating mobile applications, artificial intelligence and also to create coding projects for the proprietary patent pending hardware developed by the startup.
The slides showcase just the interface and the flow of the web-app and not how block coding works.
In computer graphics, a sprite is a two-dimensional bitmap that is integrated into a larger scene, most often in a 2D video game. Originally, the term sprite referred to fixed-sized objects composited together, by hardware, with a background.
The Plezmo - Community was a platform for all the students using these web-apps to share and showcase their work along with the code they developed. These projects were also were open to creating a 'remix' i.e. using the code a student developed to apply or create something else or to modify and make a better version of the same.
As a Tech-Ed startup, Plezmo offered not just their proprietary hardware to aide coding, but also had standalone courses to learn coding. The following slides showcase the way the courses are presented and the tutorials required to follow the instructions.
Any application can have errors, updates, notifications, help required to use the app.
This interface was created using a design language representing the brand and suitable for kids which was modified to create a series of web-apps required to teach the required topics.
